little sleepy head is led by Sam Oakley and Stephen Martin. We are helped by chief tester George and many others, big and small, who have lent a hand or an ear to our project.

We particularly want to thank the midwifery staff and patients of Guernsey’s Princess Elizabeth Hospital and our friends at the National Childbirth Trust.

Sam Oakley

Sam trained as a radio and television producer but is best known for her presenting work in consumer journalism.

Sam’s credits include Watchdog, Healthcheck, World in Action, Countryfile and the History Channel.

She is the mother of chief tester George and elder sister Harriet.

Stephen Martin

Stephen qualified as a sound engineer, writer and producer before building a career as an award-winning marketing and promotions specialist in global media. He was an editor at the BBC for seven years.

Stephen is married with a six year old daughter and lives near Petersfield in Hampshire.

George Benjamin Green

As our chief tester, George brings to our project an entire lifetime’s experience of sleeping, waking up and then falling asleep again. His favourite little sleepy head CD track is the tumble dryer.
