By George they're tested.
Sam Oakley describes how the bedtime behaviour of her three month old
baby boy was the inspiration for the little sleepy head CDs:
"Like all babies,
George sometimes has crying spells which make it difficult to settle
him.
He was three months
old when we first started to notice the effect our kitchen tumble
dryer was having on him. No matter if his three year old sister
Harriet was playing football right by his car seat, the sound of our
tumble dryer seemed to help him nod off into a gentle slumber.
We started to run
our tumble dryer to settle him for his late morning and afternoon
naps, during the evening and middle of the night. The results
were amazing but our electricity bill was sky high.
It seemed a logical
step to make a recording of the tumble dryer. Although the CD contains
the sounds of other household appliances, George, now aged nearly one,
still prefers the tumble dryer.
He now has a CD
player in his room and before each nap, after I’ve fed him, changed
his nappy and cuddled him, I lay him in his cot or car seat and just
press play."

When you see this symbol you know
that George himself has tested and approved every track on the CD
for you. He's good like that.
